EARLY RETURN

If your clients purchased a Single-Trip or Top-Up plan and returned back home earlier than originally planned, they can request an early return refund for Emergency Medical Care, Trip Interruption, Accidental Death or Dismemberment and Baggage coverage. Trip Cancellation and Interruption coverage cannot be refunded for an early return.

Certain conditions apply

  • The clients must not have submitted or intend to submit a claim 
  • Multi-Trip Annual plans are not eligible for an early return refund 
  • A $25 administrative fee applies 

If the payment was made by credit card, the refund will be issued on your client’s credit card. 
If the contract was paid from your partner account, the refund will be made on your account. 

Handling early returns 

You can handle early returns on the Partner Space before the initial return date. If your clients inform you of their early return after the initial return date, you must contact us.  

We strongly encourage you to keep proof of the early return you handle. Proof confirming the end date of the trip can be:  

  • Airplane ticket proving the return to the province of residence  
  • Bank statement showing a transaction in their province of residence  
  • Purchase receipt with the insured person’s credit card in their province of residence
