Travel advice and advisories for at-risk or geopolitically affected destinations

Destination information

Cuba

Since February 11, 2026, the Government of Canada has advised against all non-essential travel to Cuba.

Please consult the official Government of Canada travel advisory for Cuba.

Middle East

Due to the evolving situation in parts of the Middle East, the Government of Canada has issued travel advisories for several countries in the region.

We strongly encourage you to consult the official Government of Canada advisory for your destination.

Steps to follow

1. Contact your airline

Learn about the options available to you, including flight changes, refunds or rerouting solutions.

2. Follow Government of Canada advisories

Consult official travel advisories regularly to stay informed about the situation at your destination.

3. Register with the Registry of Canadians Abroad

Registration with the Registry of Canadians Abroad is strongly recommended.
This free service allows the Government of Canada to contact you in case of an emergency and provide important updates during your stay.

4. Review your insurance coverage

Coverage varies based on the product you purchased and the date of purchase. View the details of your travel insurance certificate in the Customer Space

Need assistance during your trip?
