Since February 11, 2026, the Government of Canada has advised against all non-essential travel to Cuba.
Steps to guide you
1. Consult official travel advisories
Before departure or while in Cuba, consult: Government of Canada’s Travel Advice and Advisories for Cuba.
2. Contact your airline
Ask about the options available to you, such as flight changes, refunds or re‑routing.
3. Review your insurance coverage
Your coverage depends on the product you purchased and the date of purchase. View the details of your travel insurance certificate in the Customer Space.
Need assistance in Cuba?
If your safety is not in immediate danger, call Blue Cross Travel Assistance. If you’re in immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away.
Need to update your travel insurance contract?
If you purchased your contract on February 11, 2025, you can make changes directly in your Customer Space.
